                                Watercolour of Judea Redoubt at Tauranga, New Zealand, October 1864. This watercolour was painted by Lieutenant William Kay, who served with the 68th Light Infantry in New Zealand during the Second Maori War, 1864-66. The British Army built three small earthwork forts or redoubts at Tauranga - Judea, Monmouth and Durham. Each fort had deep ditches and steep walls.
