Watercolour, 68 Light Infantry

Watercolour of the 68th Light Infantry on the rifle range at Te Papa, New Zealand, 1865. This watercolour was painted by Lieutenant Horatio Robley, who served with the 68th Light Infantry in New Zealand during the Second Maori War, 1864-1866. The soldiers are shown wearing their blue campaign frocks (jackets) and with white covers over their forage caps. Acc No: 2103. This watercolour was purchased with the financial assistance of the Army Museums Ogilby Trust.
