Darlington, architect G G Hoskins
Photographed at Thornbeck Hill (near the junction of Carmel Road and Woodland Road) George Gordon Hoskins and his wife in a Tandem Dog Cart, with their coachman / groom. Hoskins was the architect for a number of major buildings in Darlington including the Grammar School (1874-7), Public Library (1884-5), Kings Head Hotel and Technical College (1893-6).
