Rugby Cap, 1 DLI

Rugby Cap, 1st Battalion DLI, 1930s. This rugby cap belonged to Colonel Frank Simpson, who was a keen Regimental sportsman. The cap is dark green with an orange tassel and an embroidered Regimental badge of '68th' in red above a red rugby ball. Officers of the 1st Battalion DLI often called their battalion the '68th' in memory of the old 68th Light Infantry. Acc No: 1929
