Forage Cap, Durham Fusiliers

Officer's Undress Forage Cap, 1st South Durham Fusiliers Militia, 1868-1881. This dark blue cloth cap with the 'exploding grenade' badge belonged to Robert Taylor Richardson. He served in the Militia from 1862 until he retired in 1885, as a Captain. The '3' on the badge is the Durham Fusiliers' precedence number. Acc No: 701
